What a week! Hard to believe that, this time last week, I had no idea that the following day would be anything other than a typical Monday. But no, last Monday was The Day. Last Monday was the day I finally received an email offering me a publishing contract. Queue lots of jumping around with excitement, lots of re-reading the email and the contract to make sure I wasn’t dreaming, and lots of liaising and seeking advice from the lovely people at the RNA who are so supportive and have so much advice and experience to share. Well, I signed the contract and have found myself taken into the fold of yet another wonderful forum of supportive authors at Tirgearr Publishing.
It’s taken a long time to get to this point in my writing career and I’m determined to make the most of it – always with the intention of one day realising my dream of writing full time (although I’m aware that this day might well be many years in the future, perhaps when I’m retired …. 🙂
Well, I think I’ve procrastinated enough – I should really be working on my MSc assignment – but I’m looking forward to the next few months, working with the Tirgearr Publishing team with a view to Beauty and the Recluse being published in the new year!
I’m attending a Writer’s Retreat next weekend, hosted by Alison May and Janet Gover, which I am very much looking forward to. I shall let you know how it goes…
